Beginners Beekeeping Course

Each year MBKA provides a training course for local people considering taking up beekeeping or in their first year with bees. This is normally a series of theory and practical sessions during March and April, leaving time to purchase and construct equipment and a hive before receiving a starter colony of bees, which are usually available in June. For those who complete the course and decide to take up beekeeping, the Association will help to source bees and aims to provide a mentor to offer direct support through the first year or two.

If you are interested in joining the next course please contact the Education Officer, Paul Aslin, on 01341 250882, or email: secretary@mbka.info
