WBKA are planning the delivery of some regional microscopy workshops and other courses/events, details of which will be circulated over the coming weeks. In the meantime, if any member is interested in joining a microscopy study group – to be held online over 6 fortnightly sessions beginning on Tuesday 29 March 2022 – please email ld@wbka.com to book your place.
The sessions will be led by Lynfa Davies and will cover topics such as parts of the microscope, equipment for pollen slides, how to embed bees for dissection, as well as preparing pollen slides and identifying pollens, anatomy and dissection.
The sessions will run from 7.30pm and be in the format of a short half hour demo followed by a Q&A session. Places will be limited but, If over-subscribed, we will consider re-running these going forward.
